What is Erasmus+?

The Erasmus Programme is a European Union (EU) exchange programme established in 1987. Erasmus+, or Erasmus Plus, is the new programme combining all the EU’s current schemes for education, training, youth and sport, which was started in January 2014. Erasmus+ aims to modernise and improve the quality of teaching, training and youth work across Europe, and to support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices.

Watregrasshill N.S. is currently looking into forging a European Partnership with five other primary schools throughout Europe. Discussions are ongoing so we won’t know until Summer 2019 whether our application is successful or not.
