A great day in Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the school
As the dust settles we acknowledge the efforts of our girls and boys Sciath na Scol teams who took part in their respective football Finals on the 9th of November. The scoring exploits of Kate O’ Connell in the girl’s final along with an early goal from Ely O’ Callaghan in the boys final wasn’t enough but it brought great excitement for all supporters present. While results didn’t go our way on the day we acknowledge the efforts of both teams and we congratulate Eglantine girls and the Glenville boys on their deserved wins. We were so proud of both teams who worked so hard and did their best.
Captain of the girls team Anna Fennell led the girls team brilliantly all year as did the boys captain Alex Downey. We would like to thank all our supporters for their support and noise on the day. We would also like to thank all parents,
school staff, teachers and coaches for their support all year and we hope we will be back in Páirc Uí Chaoimh very soon again. We will take a well earned break from Sciath na Scol activity until the hurling begins in the new year.
