Indoor Camogie

Congratulations to the girls in 3rd and 4th class who won their competition recently in Blackrock. The girls were brilliant throughout and beat teams from Brooklodge, Passage, Sunday's Well and Turners Cross. They now qualify for the County finals in Na Piarsiagh in February. Well done girls!!!!

Indoor Camogie Blitz Feb 1st 2017:

4th Class girls took part in an indoor camogie blitz on Wednesday Feb 1st in Little Island Community Centre. This year we entered two teams. The girls had been training since after Christmas. They played teams from Dungourney, Walterstown, and GS Mhainistir na Corann. The girls were brilliant all day and reached the final. Unfortunately they lost 1-0 to Dungourney. Well done to Sarah, Abbie, Heather, Kate E, Ellie, Hollie, Leanne, Kate D, Emma C, Shona, Emma O' B, Kate F, Emma H, Ella and Angel. 

Indoor Camogie 2016

Fourth Class girls travelled to Little Island to play in the indoor blitz. The girls had two matches in their group and qualified for the semi final. Unfortunately we did not win but the girls played excellent!

Indoor Camogie 2013

During the month of February third and fourth class girls took part in an indoor camogie blitz. Up first was third class who participated in a non-competitive blitz in Watergrasshill. The girls played so well winning three matches and drawing one game.

On the 21st of February 4th class had their blitz. However as only 5 girls in 4th class play, all 3rd class came to this competition too. The girls played fantastic all day winning two matches and drawing the other two matches. As a result, the girls now qualify for the county finals which will be held in Na Piarsaigh hall early March. Well done Girls.

Sciath na Scol 2012

The Sciath na Scol Camogie competition has commenced with the girls winning their first game against Ballynoe. Before Easter they will play Whitegate, Brooklodge and Blarney. After Easter they will finish off the competition playing Berrings, Rushbrooke and Inch. Best of luck girls..

I.N.T.O. Camogie Mini Sevens

The girls have qualified for the County Final stages of the camogie mini sevens.


On Thursday 10th of February Watergrasshill 4th and 5th class girls took part in an indoor camogie blitz held in Watergrasshill Community Centre. Teams from Whitechurch, New Inn, Castlemartyr, Mayfield, Midleton and Watergrasshill all competed in the competition. There were six teams with every team getting at least three games each. In the final Watergrasshill played Mayfield. It was a very competitive match with Mayfield winning the final by a goal 4-3. Well done to all the girls in 4th and 5th class who gave their all and tried their best but were very unfortunate not to win. The team was Olivia Lehane, Hannah Dalton, Rachel Atkinson, Cliona Cronin, Ellen Fitzgerald, Lauren O donovan, Christine O Flynn, Andre Quinn, Shauna O Mahony and Leah Bannon. Well done girls!


On the 10th of February 4th and 5th class girls played an indoor camogie blitz in the Community Centre in Watergrasshill. Olivia Lehane, Rachel Atkinson, Hannah Dalton, Cliona Cronin, Christine O' Flynn, Lauren O Donovan, Ellen Fitxgerald, Andrea Quinn, Shauna O' Mahony and Leah Bannon all played on the team. The teams we competed against were GS Mainistir na Corann, New Inn, Sc Iosaef Castlemartyr, GS Gort Alainn Mayfield and Whitechurch. We won our first four matches and made it to the final. We played GS Mayfield in the final and we were unlucky to lose by a goal. It was a very close match but unfortunately GS Mayfield came out on top. Thanks to Ms. Watson and Angela for all the training. We would also like to thank all the parents for their support. Well done everyone!!!


On the 15th of February, 4th and 5th class girls played an indoor camogie blitx in the Community Centre. We had to play four matches against Walterstown Cobh, GS Ui hEigeartaigh Cobh, Dungourney and Whitegate. We had trained very hard and along the way we played some practice matches against Glenville. We had a great time and we would like to thank Ms.Watson, Angela and Master and the whole school for supporting us along the way. We would also like to thank our parents for being there on the day and for watching us.


The Cork Camogie board have started a scheme where they will send coaches into schools to train the skills of camogie. Watergrasshill National School have been very lucky to be selected as one of the schools to do this training. The camogie training will begin on Tuesday February 1st and will run for ten weeks!
