Sciath na Scol
The Sciath na Scol Boys team have been busy the last number of weeks. In their 1st game they played Gaelscoil Uí Choráin away and played some great hurling to come out on top comfortably. In the 2nd game they played their close neighbours Glenville. The opposition were a little sharper on the day and won in the end in what was a very competitive game. It was a great day for Watergrasshill hurling club with so many young hurlers from the area in opposition and augurs well for the future of the local club. In their final game they played Ballinora and in the end only lost by 2 points. What was very evident over the 3 games was the great attitude and workrate on the field displayed by all the players. Thanks to everyone for their commitment and to the teachers for looking after them and giving them words of encouragement and advice along the way. In years to come they will cherish those memories of playing with their friends in school.
A massive well done and well played to the 4th class boys and girls who played their hearts out in their respective indoor hurling and camogie blitz, which were played on Thursday February 7th.
The boys finished runners-up overall and the girls finished runners-up in their group. Thanks you to Ms. Mulholland, Mr. Prout, Mr. Mather, Mr. Griffin, Angela and Gillian who looked after the teams on the day.
Sciath na Scol hurling and camogie training will take place after the February mid-term. Make sure to get out and practice boys and girls!! The matches will be starting before Easter.
