We would like to thank DePuy Synthes STEM Academy for their continued and generous support in the area of STEM education in our school.
Over the last two years we have been working with DePuy’s STEM Academy. This partnership has been fantastic for our school and the children have benefited hugely from it. DePuy have sent their engineers out to us to work with our teachers and children and have delivered exciting and innovative programmes in the areas of lego, robotics and 3-D printing. The children’s enthusiasm from week to week is testament to how interesting and enjoyable the content was and it sparked an interest in many of them in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths as well as giving them an insight into what the job of an engineer actually entails.
DePuy have also furnished our school with extensive resources and equipment shown in the pictures below. The large storage unit is wired and charges the devices. Contained in it are laptops, Ipads, a 3-D printer, Dash and Dot robots and other resources all given to our school by DePuy and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of these.
Going forward, DePuy will continue to deliver their STEM programmes to our school virtually with fantastic new initiatives like “Train the Trainer” and a playbook with all the lessons laid out as well as making videos to go with these lessons.
Thank you again to all in DePuy Synthes and we look forward to the new programmes coming up and our continued partnership supporting and developing STEM education in our school.
